Hakone Estate & Gardens
Saratoga · Santa Clara County · winery and garden
A 1915 Japanese hill-and-pond garden above Saratoga, with a koi pond, a moon bridge and wisteria. Bookings are fixed blocks: a one-hour morning ceremony, or an evening on the Madrone Mound from 5pm.
Correction to the earlier record: the evening block is not fixed at 5pm to 10pm. Hakone's own page states it ends at either 9pm or 10pm, and the morning slot differs between weekdays and weekends.
