Asilomar Conference Grounds
Pacific Grove · Monterey County · beach and coast
Julia Morgan buildings in the dunes at Pacific Grove, with a beach ceremony site and a meadow ceremony site, and dining rooms of 32 to 120 for the reception.
Asilomar sits on California State Parks land but is run under concession by Aramark, so weddings are booked through the conference grounds rather than through the State Parks special event office. Seascape Dining Room capacity differs between the brochure and the website.
The practical details
Capacity
Up to 140
Ceremony fees are set in bands up to 50, 100, 120 and 140 guests. Outdoor ceremony sites are Asilomar Beach and Grand Cypress Meadow, both listed at 110.
Indoor capacity
120
Seascape Dining Room takes receptions up to 120 in the 2025 brochure and up to 100 on the website. The two figures come from Asilomar's own sources and have not been reconciled. Historic Scripps Dining Room and Patio 40; Surf and Sand Dining Room 32. Grace Dodge Chapel seats 100 for an indoor ceremony.
Rain backup
Partial
Indoor dining rooms are smaller than the outdoor ceremony sites, so a full-size outdoor group does not move indoors intact.

The brochure states music should end by 10pm under local ordinances, and that extensions can be discussed.
Amplified music
Live and recorded entertainment are permitted for both ceremony and reception, arranged with the event planners for power and setup.
